Arsenal are in talks to sign former Porto midfielder Yacine Brahimi who is a free agent after leaving the Portuguese club.
The Algerian international, who can play either as an attacking midfielder or as a winger joined Porto in 2014 from La Liga side Granada, and went on to make 209 appearances for them, scoring 53 goals Last season was his most prolific campaign for them – he netted 13 times in 49 first team appearances.
Brahimi, who is currently at the African Cup of Nations with Algeria, was offered a new deal by contract but opted instead to let his existing deal run down.
Brahimi has previously been linked with a move to London – West Ham were interested in signing him last summer but, in the end, did not pursue their interest.
No deal is imminent though. As Sky Sports report, there is still some gap to be closed between player and club when it comes to agreeing personal terms.
