Arsenal fans eager for news that the club has made any new signings this summer may have to wait until next week for any announcements to come out of the club.
That is because their new kit deal with Adidas comes into force on Monday, and the club wants to make sure that any players signed appear for their obligatory press photos in the new Adidas kit, as opposed to the existing strip which is supplied by Puma, whose current deal with Arsenal expires on Sunday.
As a teaser, the club has posted on social media an image of a rotating cassette tape, with the words “Arsenal Home Kit 19/20” imposed on it, which is a reference to the retro-inspired look of the home kit, whilst the away strip evokes memories of their bruised banana strip that was very popular with fans in the mid-1990s.
The new kit has already gone on sale in the US.
