Manchester United are close to agreeing a fee for Crystal Palace Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with a fee of £55 million set to have been agreed, a fee which will make him the most expensive full-back in the history of the Premier League.
The two sides have been locked in negotiations over the transfer of the 21-year old Englishmen, with United having several previous bids for him knocked back. Now it looks like they have finally got their man, although there are still some details to be finalised before the deal can be announced.
A further delay is due to the fact that Wan-Bissaka is currently in Italy playing for England in the under-21 European Championship, failing to cover himself in glory in their opening group game against France by scoring the injury-time own goal that condemned his side to a defeat.
Wan-Bissaka will be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s second signing of the summer after the arrival of winger Daniel James from Swansea earlier this month.
