The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has hinted that the player is ready to leave Chelsea and follow the departed Maurizio Sarri to Juventus.
The 60-year old Italian, who was presented to the media in Italy as the new coach of the Serie A champions, made Jorginho one of his first major signings last year, paying £50 million to bring him to Stamford Bridge from his former club Napoli.
The Italian international became an integral part of the side under Sarri, to the extent that N’Golo Kanté had to move to a position on the right side of midfield to accommodate him. He made 54 appearances for the Blues in his debut season, helping them win the Europa League, and finish third in the Premier League.
Now, however, with the club facing a two window transfer ban, he is set to cause Frank Lampard, or whoever the new manager at Chelsea is likely to be, a big headache, by hinting that he may want to return to Italy with his agent saying “Chelsea have a four-year contract with the lad. We’ll wait a few days to figure out whether there is any truth in this interest.
“His past at Napoli won’t be an issue, because Jorginho is a professional.”
