Arsenal have no intention of selling Lucas Torriera this summer.
That is despite reported interest from Italy and AC Milan, who are set to appoint Marco Giampaolo as manager. Giampaolo is currently manager at Serie A rivals Sampdoria, the club that sold the Uruguayan midfielder to The Gunners last summer in a £26 million deal.
However, although he is keen to re-sign the 23-year old, Arsenal have made it abundantly clear that they have no intention of letting him go, despite Milan apparently prepared to offer up to £35 million for him.
Speculation about Torreira’s future was fuelled by interviews he gave to the press admitting he had found it hard to adjust to life in England, with the language barrier and the weather two of the factors he has found it hardest to adjust to so far. However, he has also indicated that he will adjust as time goes by, dampening down rumours that he is unhappy in North London.
