Juve hold Pogba discussions

Fabio Paratici, the Sporting Director of Juventus, has begun negotiations with Manchester United over the potential transfer of Paul Pogba, back to the club he left for a world record fee, at the time, of £93.25 million.

That is according to Sky Sports who report that Patricio meet representatives of United at their London offices, and that discussions are a very preliminary stage, with indications that right-back Joao Cancelo could be involved in any transfer – although United continue to be heavily linked with Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

In separate developments, Pogba’s agent has had his ban on negotiating transfers which was imposed by the Italian FA, lifted, meaning he is free to enter into discussions on behalf of his client.

Killing two birds with one stone, Paratici also used the trip to London to negotiate with Chelsea the compensation for the release of Maurizio Sarri from his contract at Stamford Bridge, with a deal agreed for a fee believed to be worth £5 million.
