Manchester United have identified Norwich City defender Max Aarons as an alternative if they are unsuccessful in their pursuit of Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
United have already had one bid turned down for Wan-Bissaka, rumoured to be anywhere between £35 million and £40 million, and are reported to be on the verge of going back to the South London club with an improved offer. However, with Palace thought to value the under-21 international at closer to £60 million, United may be set to look for cheaper alternatives if they cannot get Palace to compromise on the price.
Aarons was part of the successful Norwich promotion winning side. He was named EFL Young Player of the Year, and was named in the PFA Championship team of the year. He has been linked with both Tottenham and RB Leipzig recently, whilst, in the event that Wan-Bissaka is sold, is also being considered as a potential replacement for him by Palace.
