Jan Oblak wants to leave Atlético Madrid, and is considering joining Manchester United.
The Slovenian international is also wanted by PSG, who are looking for a replacement for the departed Gianluigi Buffon, but favours a move to United, the club he supported as a boy, despite the fact that they are not involved in the Champions League next season.
The future at David de Gea at United is in considerable doubt, with reports consistently linking him with a move to PSG himself, after failing to agree a new contract at Old Trafford. That, in turn, could trigger a goalkeeper marry go-round, with United apparently prepared to trigger Oblak’s €120 million (£107 million) buy-out clause in the event that De Gea decides to leave.
Oblak has decided to leave Atlético because of what he perceives as a lack of ambition at the La Liga club, and their failure to adequately replace the departing Antoine Griezmann.
