Valencia have made an offer of £8 million to sign Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian.
The 29-year old Italian international is very much out of favour at United, featuring just seven times in all competitions for the first team last season.
A £12.7 million signing for Serie A side Torino in July 2015, he helped the club win the FA Cup and Europa League but has since slipped down the Old Trafford pecking order and is one of the players slated to leave this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to overhaul his squad.
Darmian is thought to favour a return to Italy, but so far, Valencia, who won the Copa del Rey last season, are the only side to make a bid for him, as they look to strengthen their defence ahead of next season.
The full-back will be hoping that a summer move can reignite his international career which has been blighted by his recent lack of playing time.
