Trippier wants Premier League stay

Kieran Trippier wants to stay in the Premier League, although he is not sure if he will still be a Tottenham Hotspur player next season.

That is according to The Evening Standard, who report that Trippier is one of the players that Spurs are looking to sell as part of their summer rebuild.

Trippier, who was one of the stars of England’s run to the World Cup semi-final last summer, had a difficult season for Spurs,  in part due to a series of injuries, which caused his form to dip. He had to cope then with two big blows last week: first, he was omitted from Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Nations League finals, and then he was on the losing Tottenham side in the Champions League final on Saturday night.

Serie A side Napoli are reported to have offered around £23 million for the 28 year old, who joined Spurs from Burnley in 2015 in a £4 million deal, but the player himself would prefer to stay in England.
