Simon Mignolet is being linked with a summer move to Bournemouth.
The 31-year old Belgian goalkeeper has been relegated to the substitute’s bench under Jurgen Klopp, with first Loris Karius last season, and now Alisson Becker preferred ahead of him, and he had to content himself with just two senior appearances in the campaign that has just ended.
Liverpool are now willing to sell him for £15 million, and Bournemouth has emerged as a potential destination, with manager Eddie Howe looking for a long-term replacement for Artur Boric, who is now 39 years old. With Asmir Begović out of favour under Howe since January, Bournemouth’s only viable alternative to Boric is Mark Travers, the Irishman making his debut for the club against Spurs towards the end of season.
