Tottenham are planning a £80 million double swoop on Bournemouth for forward Callum Wilson and midfielder David Brooks.
That is according to The Daily Mail who report that, after two transfer windows without signing anybody, Spurs’ manager Mauricio Pochettino has been given the go-ahead by his chairman, Daniel Levy, to start an overhaul of his squad.
27-year old Wilson has been identified as a player who can provide cover and compete with Harry Kane, whilst Brooks is regarded as one of the best young midfield talents in the Premier League, making a big impression in his first season in the top flight since joining The Cherries from Sheffield United last summer.
Meanwhile Pochettino himself continues to be linked with moves elsewhere, with a host of top European clubs interested in acquiring his services. The Argentine though, who is under contract until 2023, after signing a five year deal in 2018, insists he is going nowhere, saying “I’m so motivated to stay”.
