Manchester United are set to meet the £105 million release clause to land Benfica’s Joao Felix.
The 19-year old attacking midfielder is wanted by clubs all across Europe, with both Real and Atlético Madrid also monitoring Felix’s situation as well. Liverpool, Chelsea and Barcelona are also in the hunt for him, whilst Juventus have had a bid of £75 million for the player turned down by the Portuguese side.
Now United are attempting to steal a march on their rivals by agreeing to meet his release clause, and they are reported to have opened talks already with Benfica about a summer move for the teenager.
Felix has scored 20 goals and provided 11 assists this season, and helped Benfica secure the league title last weekend, with scouts from Manchester United in attendance to watch him one last time.
