Manchester United have contacted Fulham to make enquiries about their 19-year old Ryan Sessegnon.
That is according to Sky Sports. The England under-21 international is thought to be reluctant to spend another season playing in the Championship following the club’s relegation at the end of the season, and with just one year left on his current deal at Craven Cottage, there is an acceptance that may now be the time to cash-in on him.
He has been widely linked with a move to Spurs, and Juventus are also thought to be interested in him but, so far, United are the only party to have made a formal approach.
Sessegnon had trouble adjusting to life in the Premier League, and was often in and out of the side under Slavia Jokanonic at the start of the season, whilst he was forced to play on the right wing to accommodate Ryan Babel under Scott Parker.
Despite this he remains highly regarded, having already amassed more than 100 senior appearances, despite his tender years.
