Manchester United are planning a £50 million double raid on Crystal Palace for a pair of full-backs.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified the need to overhaul his defence as a major priority for the summer, and wants to bring in the Palace duo of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Patrick van Aanholt.
That is according to The Sun, who report that Wan-Bissaka, rated as one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League, is wanted as a direct replacement for the outgoing Antonio Valencia, whilst van Aanholt will provide experienced competition for Luke Shaw in the left-back role.
Van Aanholt, who still has two years left on his current contract at Selhurst Park, joined from Sunderland in 2917, and, despite a difficult first campaign in South London, he was one of the successes of the season just finished, making 40 appearances in all competitions, and scoring 4 times.
The 28 year old has also been linked with a move to Serie A – both Juventus and Roma are said to be monitoring his situation.
