Ruben Loftus-Cheek is seeking assurances from Chelsea about his future and is looking for guarantees about first-team playing time before he signs a new deal with the club.
The 23 year old England international still has two years left on his current deal with the West London side, but, according to The Sun, the club are keen on tying him down to a new long-term contract.
The midfielder has been one of the stars of Chelsea’s successful Europa League run to the final – they face Arsenal in Baku on May 29th – but he only started six times in the Premier League last season, including the final day draw with Leicester, and needs to feel confident he will be given more playing time before committing himself.
Should Loftus-Cheek decide to move on, then he is likely to be in high demand from other Premier League clubs, and could also receive offers from abroad.
