Palace want permanent deal for Batshuayi

Crystal Palace want to sign Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi on a permanent basis.

The Belgian international scored twice on Sunday as Palace ended their season on Sunday with an entertaining 5 – 3 home win at Selhurst Park over Bournemouth. That result propelled them to a final 12th place finish, and ensured that the ended the season with a record Premier League points tally of 49.

The match also brought an end to Batshuayi’s loan spell with the club, but manager Roy Hodgson has made it clear that he would very much like to re-employ himsaying “If Michy Batshuayi was going to be available, either on loan or to buy him, I would be very happy with that”.

Batshuayi joined Palace on deadline day in January, and his 6 goals in 13 appearances helped transform their season, as they moved out of the relegation zone by providing a focal point for an attack that lacked a cutting edge in the earlier part of the campaign.
