Manchester United are willing to let defender Eric Bailly join Arsenal – provided they can recoup the £30 million they paid Villareal for the Ivorian.
The 25-year old was Jose Mourinho’s first signing as United manager, but after an impressive first season, his stock at Old Trafford has dropped considerably, due to a combination of injuries, and a loss of form.
New boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has failed to warm to Bailly, with United set to look to the transfer market this summer to solve their defensive deficiencies, rather than look for internal solutions.
For their part, Arsenal are looking for a long-term replacement for captain Laurent Koscielny, who is set to leave the club in 2020, and who is beset by constant injury niggles.
According to The Metro whilst United would prefer Bailly to move abroad, they are prepared to sell him to a direct rival if the price is right.
