Arsenal are set to compete with Manchester City to sign Strasbourg right-back Kenny Lala.
The Gunners are in the market to sign a right-back after Hector Bellerin suffered a season ending injury in the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.
Stephan Lichtsteiner is now deemed too old to play in the Premier League, whilst Carl Jenkinson is enthusiastic but not of top flight status. That means that Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who is really a midfielder has had to fill in for Bellerin. He has done a good job on the whole, although somewhat unluckily picking up a red card against Leicester City in the last Premier League match.
However, Lala who has impressed in Ligue ! this season is very much on the Gunners radar, although now it seems that City may also be interested in signing him., with Pep Guardiola looking to provide regular right-back competition to Kyle Walker.
