Scott Parker appointment may by made permanent

Scott Parker may be set to be appointed manager of Fulham on a permanent basis.

The 38 year-old former England international was put in charge at Craven Cottage on a temporary basis when Claudio Ranieri was dismissed at the end of February. He was unable to prevent the club being relegated back to the Championship at the first time of asking, but he has impressed the players, and club officials with the work that he has been doing behind the scenes, and has helped lift the mood around everybody associated with Fulham, especially after recent wins against Everton and Bournemouth.

Though no formal decision has yet been made as to who will be in charge next season, as The Evening Standard reports, Parker is closely involved in planning for life back in the Championship. That includes identifying potential transfer targets, and also involves pre-season activities, which is likely to involve a tour of Portugal.
