Liverpool want to sign Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne in the summer.
The 27-year old is captain of Napoli but has fallen out with his manager Carlo Ancelloi, and was left visibly frustrated by the decision to substitute him in the Europa League defeat at home to Arsenal last week, choosing to stand by the dug-out rather than sit with his team mates.
That led to him being booed by his own fans, and now it looks like the club are ready to let him move on in the summer if they can find somebody ready to pay the right price for him.
Insigne has been at Napoli since he was 15, and has made 300 appearances for them, scoring 76 times. He also has 30 caps for Italy, with 4 international goals to his name.
The player himself is said to prefer a move to Chelsea and a reunion with his former manager Maurizio Sarri, but, with the Stamford Bridge outfit facing a potential transfer ban, Liverpool may be in prime position to sign him.
