Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is planning a major overhaul of the Manchester United squad this summer.
The deficiencies of the current tam were ruthlessly exposed in their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday, when they were outclassed by Barcelona, which made clear the size of the task facing the Norwegian as he looks to make the team competitive with the European elite.
According to The Daily Mirror he is going to be handed a war chest of £250 million to bring in at least four major new signings, whilst a number of existing players are set to be culled to make way, with Juan Mata, Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rojo, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia amongst those slated to leave the club, whilst Ander Herrera is close to agreeing a move to PSG.
Top of their shopping list are reported to be Crystal Palace right-back and England’s teenage duo of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Jadon Sancho, whilst Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford.
