Tottenham are interested in signing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
The 30-year old Croatian World Cup star has been linked with a move away from the san Siro for some time, and there were reports that he was set to join Arsenal in the last transfer window. However, talks about a loan move came to nothing, and now it looks like it is the Gunners’ North London neighbours who want to acquire him in the summer.
One sticking point may be price. Spurs are only prepared to offer £21.4 million (€25 million) for the player, whilst Inter will be looking for a figure somewhere north of that, for a player who remains under contract with that until 2022.
Spurs famously have not signed anybody in the last two transfer windows. However, with their new White Hart Lane stadium now finally finished and ready to host the match against Crystal Palace on the 3rd of April , the club’ fans are hoping that the purse strings may be loosened a little in the summer.
