Arsenal have been linked with a move for young Charlton midfielder Joe Aribo.
The tall, composed left-footer is a Charlton academy graduate, and has been one of their most impressive performers this season, scoring 6 goals in 28 appearances, and helping propel his side into the League One play-off picture.
Arsenal scouts have watched him a number of times this season and now, according to the Daily Mirror they have seen enough to want to add him to the club’s summer shopping list.
One advantage of Aribo for Arsenal, given their supposedly limited transfer funds to spend this summer is his cost. He is out of contract in the summer, and, given his age, can be acquired for a relatively minimal fee.
Ironically given the Aaron Ramsey story, a similar situation occurred with Aribo last summer. He was offered a new deal by the club, only for them to withdraw the offer, and make a new proposal on reduced terms.
