Liverpool are ready to sell midfielder Naby Keïta after less than a year at the club.
The Guinea midfielder originally agreed to join Liverpool in the summer of 2017, but was unable to complete the transfer until a year later. However, despite an initially encouraging start, a series of niggling injuries, and the form of Gini Wijnaldum has seen his first team opportunities at Anfield severely limited.
At the turn of the year, manager Jurgen Klopp admitted that the 24-year old was taking longer than expected to adapt to life in England, whilst at the same time, urging the club’s fans to be patient with the midfielder. However, it seems, according to The Daily Mirror, that Klopp is now the one who has run out of patience with Keïta, and he is now ready to sanction his sale, even if Liverpool are likely to incur a substantial loss on the deal.
