Arsenal will send winger Denis Suárez back to Barcelona at the end of the season.
The 25-year old Spaniard was the Gunners sole signing during the January window, joining on loan until the end of the season, with an option for them to buy him in the summer.
However, despite Unai Emery having worked with the player before, he has struggled to make any sort of impression with the senior team, and has been reduced to the occasional cameo role from the bench.
Now, having failed to convince Emery and his coaches that he has the physicality to play in the Premier League, Suárez will be allowed to return to his parent club in May, as Arsenal turn their attention to other transfer targets.
Despite this, Suárez is still likely to join Arsenal on their mid-season tour of Dubai this week. Those members of the squad not involved in international fixtures are flying out for 5 days of warm weather training and sponsor events.
