Manchester United are still basking in their historic triumph on Wednesday night when they battled back to beat PSG in Paris and send them crashing out of the Champions League.
However, not content to rest on their laurels, and although they do not officially know who will be managing the club, they are already making plans to strengthen next season, with The Mirror reporting that they have already begun negotiations with one of their key targets, Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
The 24-year old Portuguese international has scored 12 times in the Portuguese top division this season, and has also provided 9 assists. United have had him on their radar for some time, and have made their move to try and stave off interest from the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.
Fernandes has a €100 release clause in his contract, but it is believed that Sporting will let him go for half that fee – £50 million.
