Spurs have been linked with a move for Notts County teenage striker Kion Etete.
That is according to The Sun who reports that the 17-year old caught the eye during a week-long trial with Tottenham, scoring twice for their under-18 side as they beat West Ham 5 -3, in a match which saw the scoring opened by the son of current Spurs’ manager Maurico Pochettino, Maurizio.
Etete signed his first professional contract with County, who are bottom of League 2 and face a winding-up order from HMRC over an unpaid tax bill last November, and has featured in the Checkatrade Trophy against Newcastle’s under-21 side. He has since gone on to play for the senior side four times, and also has featured on the bench on a number of occasions.
Spurs have a direct connection with the League 2 side because their academy head, Jon Goodman, used to fulfil a similar role at County.
