Brooks signs new long-term Bournemouth deal

David Brooks has signed a new long-term deal with Bournemouth, just 8 months after joining the club.

The 21-year old Welsh international only signed for the South Coast outfit last July from Sheffield United, for a fee of £11.5 million.  However, despite penning a four-year deal at the time, he has already been offered and accepted a new contract.

Brooks who has been deployed either on the right or centre of midfield has made an impressive start to his career with the Cherries, scoring 6 goals in 22 Premier League appearances, and now the club have move to swiftly reward him with a new deal, reports The BBC.

Forced to miss the last few matches with injury, Brooks returned to first-team action with the home match against Manchester City on Saturday.  However, he was unable to prevent his side slipping to a 1-0 defeat to the League leaders, a result that leaves Bournemouth 12th in the Premier League table.
