Portuguese playmaker Bernardo Silva is in line for a bumper new deal at The Etihad.
The 24-year old midfielder joined Manchester City from Monaco in May 2017, in a deal worth £43 million, and has since become established as an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s side, normally deployed on the right-side of attack.
So good has his form been that he has been attracting interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona so, to fend off their interest, he is to offered a new long-term deal on significantly better terms.
According to The Daily Mail, who reports that a new six year deal is on the table that could see his weekly wages, which are currently around £100,000 a week, doubled. They also report that Silva is prepared to commit his future to the club, with whom he has already won the Premier League and the EFL Cup twice.
