Lilian Thuram son being monitored by Liverpool and Chelsea

Khephren, the son of former France international and Juventus and Barcelona defender Lilian Thuram is being watched by both Liverpool and Chelsea.

The 17-year old midfielder, who is also being monitored by Juventus, is one of the most valued players in the Monaco academy. However, the 17-year old has yet to commit to signing a professional contract with the Monegasque club, with his father, who is helping steer his career, keeping his options open as to which direction to take next.

Thuram, who made his senior debut in Monaco’s Champions League defeat in November, again underlined his credentials, reports The Daily Mail, by scoring a fine goal as Monaco went down 3 – 1 to Chelsea in the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday night.

Monaco have been having a terrible season and have been battling relegation from Ligue 1. That saw manager Leonardo Jadim sacked and replaced by Thierry Henry, only for Henry to be fired in turn, and Jadim reappointed.

Now English clubs are hoping to exploit this turmoil by snapping up one of their brightest young talents on the cheap.
