That is according to The Daily Mirror who report that the 60 year old Italian is very much in the last chance saloon at Stamford Bridge after the club’s latest defeat, the 2 – 0 FA Cup defeat at home to Manchester United on Monday evening, which saw the team booed off the field at the end by the club’s own supporters. Sarri then compounded their misery and anger after the match by saying that he did not care what the supporters thought.
Meanwhile The Sun reports that it will cost Chelsea just £5 million to get rid of the man they appointed only last July from Napoli. That is less than the other 9 managers who have been paid of early during the tenure of Roman Abramovich as the club’s owner.
Given that City put six goals past Chelsea just 10 days ago, his prospects for still being in charge by the time of their next Premier League meeting with Tottenham do not look bright.
