West Ham are being linked with a summer move for Manchester United right-back Antonio Valencia.
That is according to The Sun who report that The Hammers are prepared to sign Valencia if current incumbent of the right-back spot, Pablo Zabaleta, decides to hang up his boots at the end of the current campaign.
The Argentine has yet to commit himself to another season in the Premier League, amidst reports that he could be set to be handed a backroom job with Manchester City, the club where he spent a successful decade.
33-year old Valencia, one year younger than Zabaleta, is out of contract in the summer, and with no new deal on the table for him at United, will leave the club on a free, which will saw West Ham having to pay his transfer fee, although they will still have to budget for his wages rumoured to be in the range of £100,000 a week.
