Manchester United have recently enjoyed success when it comes to tying down some of their key players to new deals.
Anthony Martial signed a new 5-year deal at the end of January, and the Old Trafford side are close to agreeing fresh contracts for his strike partner Marcus Rashford, as well as Ashley Young and Ander Herrera.
However, one player that they have yet to convince to sign up again is Juan Mata, with The Metro reporting that the midfielder is set to turn down the latest offer from the club.
The 30-year old Spaniard is out of contract at the end of the season, and whilst United are willing to offer him a new deal, they are currently proposing just a 12-month deal. Mata, however, is looking for a two-year deal and is willing to wait until the end of the season to assess his options.
Mata has only started three Premier League matches since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed as interim manager.
