Eden Hazard wants to join Real Madrid in the summer, and intends to tell Chelsea bosses of his decision soon.
That is according to The Telegraph who claim that despite not officially declaring his decision yet, the 28 year-old has privately made up his mind after being given assurances by the Champions League winners that they will make a bid for him when the summer transfer window opens.
Despite the fact that he will only have 12 months on his contract left to go at the end of the season, Chelsea have placed a £100 million valuation on Hazard, who they have tried to persuade, unsuccessfully, to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge, worth more than £300,000 a week.
Now it looks as if this long-running saga is about to have a denouement and Chelsea must begin planning for life without their main star and playmaker, who joined the club from Lille back in 2012.
