Stoke forward Bojan could still leave the club

Former Barcelona forward Krjić could still leave his present club Stoke City before the end of the season.

The 28-year old signed for Stoke in the summer of 2014, but has failed to live up to his reputation in the Potteries, scoring just 16 times in 78 senior appearances. He has also been sent on loan twice, first to Bundesliga side Mainz, and then to Alavés in La Liga.

He was frozen out by former Stoke manager Gary Rowett and had not played since November but, after recovering from injury was restored to the team by new boss Nathan Jones at the weekend, although his side still slipped to defeat at Hull City in the Championship.

West Brom tried to secure a deadline day move for Bojan, but Jones turned that down. However, he could still secure a move to the MLS and the New England Revolution in the coming months. The MLS transfer window does not close until May 1st and, as The Sun reports, New England, now managed by former Blackburn and Spurs goalkeeper Brad Friedel, are ready to nearly double Bojan’s current wages.
