Arsenal have made a bid to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perišić, initially on loan for the rest of this season, with an option to make the deal permanent in exchange for a fee of £35 million in the summer.
Inter Milan are apparently prepared to sell the Croatian international, reports The BBC, with their manager Luciano Spalletti saying “Perišić is a very good player, of course there’s rumours about him during the transfer window. If a player is good, it’s obvious that every club would want him. Of course, then the figures must be adequate for things to go through.”
The 29-year old joined Inter from Wolfsburg in August 2015, but after three successful campaigns with them, his form has dropped this season, with fewer goals and assists than in previous campaigns. Whilst Inter would prefer to sell him on a permanent deal, they may be ready to loan him to Arsenal, provided that the option to buy is binding, enabling them to fund a summer move for Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco, who has also been linked with Arsenal.
