Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is close to agreeing a new five year deal.
Just days after his full-back partner in the Liverpool, team Andy Robertson committed himself to a new 5 year deal at Anfield, reports suggest that the 20-year old England international is on the verge of following suit.
It continues the meteoric rise for the full-back who has already made 67 appearances for the club, and helped them reached The Champions League Final last season, as well as top spot in the Premier League this.
He has also forced his way into the England team, featuring for the national side at the World Cup in the summer, as well as their successful Nations League campaign in the autumn.
A home-grown player who was born and brought up in the city, he first joined the club when he was six years old and has played at every level for his boyhood-club.
Andy is an exiled English football fan living in Cyprus. He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
