Michy Batshuayi is a man in demand – despite being recalled to Chelsea after a failed loan spell with Valencia.
The 25-year old forward moved to Spain on a season-long loan in August, but only found the net for Valencia once in La Liga, scoring against Celta Vigo in September. With their manager Marcelino frustrated with Batshuayi’s level of performance, it led to the Spanish club exercising their option to terminate his contract early, and he has now returned to Stamford Bridge.
Undeterred by his unsuccessful sojourn in Spain, however, a number of Premier League clubs are interested in signing the Belgian international, including Crystal Palace and Fulham, as well as former side Marseille who he left in July 2016 to join Chelsea.
The latest club to be linked to Batshuayi are Everton, according to The Daily Mirror, who are looking to add to their forward striking options. However, because they already have Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea for the season, Premier League rules do not allow them to take another player on loan from the same club, so they would need to buy the Belgian on a permanent deal, with a bid of £14 million expected.
