Wolves are ready to bid £18 million for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
The 21 year-old England striker is currently on loan at Aston Villa for whom he has scored 16 goals in just 20 Championship appearances so far this season. However, Wolves want to sign him on a permanent deal, according to The Sun, as they look for a proven goal scorer in their bid to qualify for European football in their first season back in the Premier League.
The former Chelsea academy player has never nailed down a place at Stamford Bridge, and spent a frustrating year on loan last season in a struggling Swansea City side. However, he has blossomed during his spell at Villa, and his loss to their Midlands’ rivals would be a bitter blow to Dean Smith’s side and their hopes of mounting a promotion push in the second half of the season.
