Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen could be heading for Barcelona in January, according to The Daily Mirror.
The 22-year old Danish international was a regular in the starting line-up under Antonio Conté, but, like a number of players at Stamford Bridge, finds himself on the fringes of new man Maurizio Sarri’s plans, and could be ready to move away if the opportunity presents itself.
For their part, Barcelona have something of an injury crisis at centre-half. Samuel Umtiti is a long-term absentee whilst former Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen is ruled out through injury yet again.
Christensen has been at Chelsea since signing from his home town club of Brøndby as a 15-year old. He spent two years on loan in the Bundesliga with Borussia Mönchengladbach, before returning to Chelsea where Conté identified his talent and highlighted him as a possible future team captain.
