Aaron Ramsey will leave Arsenal on a free transfer next season
The 27-year old Welshman had complained to journalists last week that he had received no explanation from the club as to why they decided to withdraw the new contract that had been on the table for him.
However, that has now changed, with Ramsey being told by the club’s new head of football, Raul Sanhelli, that he does not fit into the club’s long-term plans and that the team is going in another direction. That appears to draw a definitive line under the matter with Ramsey set to end his eleven year tenure in North London when his current contract ends next June.
Whilst Arsenal could theoretically sell him in January, but player and club seem willing to just let his contract run down, with the likes of Juventus, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester United all said to be monitoring his situation.
