John Terry future still uncertain

Speculation about the future of John Terry continues to swirl, with events taking a few more twists and turns over the weekend.

First emerged stories that he was set to become Chelsea’s under-23 coach, reportedly on a salary of £800,000 a year.

However, that rumour was then scotched as fake news, with sources close to the club insisting that there were no coaching vacancies at Stamford Bridge, and that Terry will need to complete his coaching badges before he is eligible for such a role.

Terry himself, who spent Friday at the Ryder Cup in Paris, then confused matters even more by travelling to Russia to watch Spartak Moscow’s home match with Rostov.

The former England captain turned down a move to Spartak last month for family reasons, but now there are those who are wondering if he is able to perform a U-turn and commit to the Russian side anyway.
