Rangers’ manager Steven Gerrard has indicated that he wants to make four of his loan signings permanent.
The four are the Liverpool duo of Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent, Nottingham Forest’s Joe Worrall, and Lassane Coulibaly, whose parent club is French side Angers.
Worrall, in particular, impressed when pressed into action on Thursday, making his debut in Rangers highly credible draw away to Spanish side Villareal in The Europa League. The other three have all done enough in their short time in Scotland to convince their manager of their worth with Gerrard saying over the weekend “If you’re asking me if I’d want the four of them for next year, I’d sign for the four of them right now.”
Rangers continued their strong start to the season on Sunday with a 5 – 1 thrashing of St. Johnstone, a win that takes then second in the table and above Celtic, who were surprisingly beaten by Kilmarnock.
