Fulham are ready to offer a new contract to teenager Ryan Sessegnon as they try to secure the future of one of their biggest assets.
The 18-year old’s current deal expires in less than two years’ time and, according to The Evening Standard, the West London club are keen to tie down the versatile player, who has been heavily linked in the past with moves to the likes of Spurs and Manchester United.
The player himself, having played a prominent role in securing promotion for his team last season, is said to be focused on re-establishing himself in the team, having been omitted from Fulham’s last two Premier League outings by manager Slavisa Jokanovic.
An outside contender for Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad in the summer, Sessegnon has been with the under-21 squad this week, and came on a substitute in their win over Latvia on Tuesday night, a victory which means that England need just a point from their remaining fixtures to qualify for next year’s finals.
