Nottingham Forest are in talks to land free agent Claudio Yacob who was one of the players released by West Bromwich Albion following their relegation to the Championship at the end of last season.
The 31 year old ex-Argentine international spent 6 years at The Hawthorns, and made more than 170 appearances for The Baggies before he was deemed surplus to requirements by Darren Moore, following the expiration of his current contract.
Now he could be set to move to the City ground, according to The Daily Mail, with Forest manager Aitor Karanka already under pressure after an indifferent start to the season that sees them languishing in 14th place in the Championship at the international break.
If Yacob does sign he will join another free agent at the club, with Forest confirming on Wednesday that they had signed 31-year old Greek midfielder Panagiotis Tachtsidis on a deal until June 2020 following his release from Olympiakos.
