Everton striker Sandro Ramirez has joined La Liga side Real Sociedad, with the Everton website confirming that he will spend the 2018/2019 season with the Basque club.
The 23-year old forward joined Everton from Malaga on a four-year contract in July 2017, after the Merseyside club triggered his 5.2 million release clause.
A product of the famous Barcelona La Masia academy, he arrived at Everton with a big reputation, having scored a goal every other game for Malaga in Spain. However, he failed to make any sort of impression in the Premier League, featuring just 8 times and failing to find the net once. He was loaned to Sevilla for the second part of last season but, again, was unable to break his goal drought.
Ramirez’s departure continues Marco Silva’s cull of the Everton squad, with a number of players signed by former manager Ronald Koeman now either sold or sent out on long loans.
