West Bromwich Albion are set to lose their Belgian World Cup star Nacer Chadli, who is on the verge of completing a £10 million move to Monaco.
The 29-year old who moved to West Brow from Spurs for what was, at the time, a club record fee of £13 million, had been seeking an exit from The Hawthorns since their relegation to the Championship was confirmed in May, and now he has got his wish, with Sky Sports confirming that the fee had been agreed between the two clubs, with the deal set to be complete by Friday.
The midfielder has been hit by a series of injuries during his time in the West Midlands, although, irrespective of that, he was still deemed fit enough not only to be included in Belgium’s World Cup squad, but also to feature in their quarter-final win over Brazil and semi-final loss to France.
