Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed has joined Championship side Blackburn Rovers on loan for the rest of the season.
That is according to The BBC, who report that Harrison could be in line for his first game for his new club, when they face early League 2 leaders Lincoln City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.
23-year old Reed, who earned 13 caps as an England under-20 international, has made 17 Premier League appearances for Southampton, but spent the whole of last season on loan with another Championship club, Norwich City, featuring in the majority of the fixtures, and scoring his first, and, so far, only career goal to date in a win against Queens Park Rangers last August.
Newly promoted Blackburn have made a promising start to life back in the Championship, with their narrow win against Brentford on Saturday propelling them in to the play-off places at this early stage of the season.
