Loris Karius appears close to a move to Turkish side Besiktas.
That is according to Sky Sports who report that the Istanbul club appeared to confirm the move by posting a graphic of the German goalkeeper on their Twitter account before hastily removing it.
Other reports indicate that Karius will move on a two-year initial deal for a fee of £2.2 million, which will include a obligation to buy him at the end of the loan spell for a further £7.25 million if he meets certain appearance criteria.
The 25-year old shot stopper has lost his place at Anfield following the two horrific blunders he made in last season’s Champions League final against Real Madid, and with the arrival of Alisson aty the club, he knows that he is now not in Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
Loris will be hoping that a move to Turkey can help revive a career that appeared to be burning bright until the events of Kiev.
